The Disaster Boot Camp is a full-day course that will expose all emergency services staff to the complexity and components of disaster management. The course is designed to prepare frontline staff for the complexity of disaster management and preparedness. The objectives are defining mass casualty incidents and their unique challenges, disaster management systems, including incident command systems both prehospital and hospital systems, legal and ethical considerations and aspects, family reunification, and psychological impacts.
