Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1| Define implicit bias and participate in a racial bias inventory.
2| Identify ways that disparity creates problems in systems.
3| Reflect about the power and influence we hold within our roles.
4| Identify things that are happening in the workplace and/or community that might be contributing to disparities.
5| Identify and examine policies or practices that on their face are “race-neutral” but may be impacting individuals of color disproportionally.
6| Discuss action plans that outline steps to improve current polices or procedures to eliminate factors that are contributing to racial disparities.
7| Apply action plan discussed in training.
