Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Explain the nomenclature, development and function of normal paraganglia and the significance of these characteristics for understanding of corresponding tumors.
2. Describe recent changes in the WHO classification of pheochromocytoma/paraganglioma.
3. Broadly summarize current understanding of the genetic and molecular characteristics of pheochromocytoma/paraganglioma and the clinical implications of this framework.
