Objectives

2|Discuss risk assessment of venous thromboembolism (VTE) and opportunities for improvement.
3|Highlight patient centered choice of VTE prophylaxis, dosing and monitoring using case studies.
4|Introduce a new VTE risk assessment tool to assist with optimizing care.
