Description

In this session, the panelists will discuss the unique challenges to taking care of the health needs of migrant workers. The presentation will take into consideration the history of migrant work in the Pioneer Valley as well as the impact of recent climate events

Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

1| Name the most frequent issues farmworkers face with housing
2| Describe the Impact of recent climate events on job security and direct effects on health
3| Understand the history of migrant worker in the Pioneer valley and Baystate/Brightwood’s role in caring for agricultural workers
