Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

  1|Define key terminology and concepts related to gender identity and transgender and nonbinary experience
  2|Begin to understand how race, class, culture and other identities intersect with trans and nonbinary identities
  3|Identify structural and interpersonal barriers that trans people face in workplaces and in accessing healthcare
  4| Demonstrate basic trans-inclusive behaviors relevant to healthcare and workplace settings, such as inquiring respectfully about  pronouns and  discussing all families respectfully
