Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1|Describe the impacts of an Authentic leadership style
2|Analyze significance of PRF in healthcare, and outline the essential steps required to complete a PRF effectively
3|Review Physician and advance practice provider salary benchmarking methodology, including the blend used by Baystate Health, and examine components of Baystate Physician/APP compensation plans
4|Describe the responsibilities of a division chief
5|Analyze the current national physician shortage and review Baystate Health recruitment data as measure against national averages
6|Understand the needs of newly hired clinicians and gain the knowledge to build a thoughtful onboarding process in your department 
7|Describe performance management cycle and apply best practices to writing a performance review
8|Gain a clear understanding of the contrast between reactive, short-term decision making ("checkers") and proactive, long-term strategic planning ("chess")
9|Develop the ability to effectively navigate difficult conversations with staff and colleagues
