Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
- Identify the risk factors for developing breast cancer.
- Summarize the 4 categories of breast density and when increased surveillance is needed.
- Identify the 2023 updated NCCN guidelines regarding genetic testing for breast, ovarian, prostate and pancreatic cancer and appropriately refer for testing.
- Summarize the new option for low dose tamoxifen and when it is prescribed.
- Identify how to document a breast mass and order diagnostic testing for a breast concern.
