Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1| Review the origins and rationale underlying of left atrial appendage occlusion.
2| Describe the current evidence and indications for left atrial appendage occlusion.
3| Survey the future of left atrial appendage occlusion including intracardiac echocardiography guidance, novel devices, shortened antiplatelet therapy, and expanded population eligibility.
