The primary goal of psychiatry M&M rounds is to improve patient care by providing a structured forum for the review and analysis of adverse events, complications or errors in clinical practice. These rounds aim to identify factors contributing to these incidents, whether they are systemic, procedural, or individual. The focus is on learning and improvement, rather than assigning blame. Through this process, these rounds seek to enhance clinical knowledge, improve treatment strategies, foster a culture of open communication and learning, and ultimately improve patients safety and outcomes in psychiatric care.
