Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

1. Review the risk factors and sequelae of placental abruption.

2. Develop a framework for the management of placental abruption.

3. Identify the maternal risks associated with placental abruption. 

4. Differentiate the complications of acute vs chronic abruption in neonates.

5. Identify the long-term outcomes of neonates affected by abruption.
