Midwifery case review plays a crucial role in quality improvement and enhancing patient safety and experience within the healthcare system. During case review, a series of cases are presented for a systematic and critical analysis of the patient's clinical course, diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes. Evidence-based practice is emphasized, and opportunities for improving care systems are identified.
Target audience: Midwives practicing within the Division of Midwifery and/or the Department of Ob/GYN at Baystate Health and student nurse midwives enrolled in the Baystate Midwifery Education Program.
