Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

  1. Review epidemiology, risk factors and comorbid diagnosis
  2. Identify the similarities and the differences in pediatric depression syndromes and define treatment resistance
  3. Review treatment pathways for pediatric depression
  4. Identify adjunctive treatment strategies within medication and therapy
  5. Determine when and what patients should be considered for referral for psychiatric consultation or intervention
  6. Contrast interventional approaches for pediatric depression
