Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
- Describe the underlying pathophysiologic mechanisms of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), including genetic, structural, and hemodynamic contributors to disease expression.
- Discuss recent advances in precision medicine for HCM, including genetic testing, genotype-phenotype correlations, and targeted therapeutics such as myosin inhibitors.
- Recognize the importance of a multidisciplinary, specialized HCM program in optimizing diagnosis, risk stratification, family screening, and individualized management.
- Apply evidence-based strategies to integrate emerging therapies and precision diagnostics into clinical practice for patients with HCM.
- Evaluate how regional and institutional HCM programs can enhance care coordination, research, and community awareness in the era of personalized medicine.
