The Department of Medicine Leadership Institute is a 22-month leadership development program for early to mid-career faculty and emerging leaders in the department of medicine. The curriculum focuses on key leadership skills as well as individual personal growth and self-awareness as leaders.

Global Objectives 
As a result of participation in this educational series, members of the healthcare team will be able to:

  1. Provide early career faculty with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to develop oneself as a leader.
  2. Establish a peer mentorship program for early career faculty in the department of medicine.
  3. Improve early career faculty engagement through the offering of a longitudinal faculty development program within the department of medicine.
  4. Increase the pool of eligible faculty interested and qualified for leadership positions in the department of medicine.
