Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

1|Define sleep, circadian rhythm, sleep cycles and the impact of sleep on the brain.
2|Discuss sleep disorders and describe who is at higher risk.
3|Evaluation of the audience’s current sleep habits and sleep hygiene will be completed using a valid and reliable tool.
4|Describe sleep hygiene and mindfulness-based interventions using the “better night rest initiative” for nurses.
