Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1| Identify the definition of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and the pathophysiology.
2| Discuss the significance of HCM in current clinical practice.
3| Recognize clinical signs and symptoms during history, physical and routine cardiac testing typical of HCM.
4| Identify testing required for diagnosis of HCM.
5| Implement most appropriate treatment for patients diagnosed with HCM.
6| Identify how/when to refer to HCM clinic within Advanced Heart Failure program at Baystate Health.
