Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
- Describe the impact of interprofessional education on resident satisfaction with Morning Report
- Identify the root causes of low resident satisfaction identified through our needs assessment
- Summarize the design and implementation of a structured IPE intervention
- Interpret pre- and post-intervention survey data to evaluate project outcomes
- Discuss potential future directions for continuing to improve Morning Report
- Review social determinants of health
- Explain the importance of social need screening in the NICU setting
- Discuss research project aim, methods and results
- Recognize gender-based disparities and workflow barriers that contribute to under-screening for chlamydia and gonorrhea among adolescents in primary care settings
- Describe how multidisciplinary quality improvement strategies, including EMR-based interventions and standardized clinic workflows, can improve equitable STI screening rates among adolescents and young adults
- Implement evidence-based approaches to increase routine adolescent STI screening and reduce disparities in outpatient clinical practice
- Explain how the absence of direct observation of resident handoff limits IPASS adherence and feedback opportunities
- Explain how large language models produce structured IPASS output from spoken language and identify hallucination as the principal failure mode
- Assess the per-element performance of an AI-based IPASS classifier and its utility for educational feedback
