  4. Discuss strategies that other institutions can adapt when building or strengthening their own Safe Sleep programs.
  5. Inspire collaboration by sharing practical, scalable ideas for advancing Safe Sleep culture across pediatric care settings.

  1. Identify barriers that prevent caregivers from translating infant safe sleep recommendations into safe sleep environments.
  2. Describe strategies healthcare systems can use to improve safe sleep practices, including caregiver education, identification of resource needs, provision of safe sleep resources, and consistent modeling of safe sleep in the hospital.
  3. Discuss approaches to integrating safe sleep practices across the continuum of care—from inpatient settings and the pediatric emergency department to the home and community.
