Objectives
  1. Discuss the causes of venous thromboembolism in  Colorectal Surgical Patients.
  2. Describe preventative measures against development of Venous Thromboembolism in the Colorectal Patient.
  3. Define frailty in Colorectal Surgical Patients.
  4. Discuss how Frailty contributes to Colorectal Surgical Morbidity and Mortality.
  5. Discuss what measures can be used in the preoperative period to improve the functional status of the frail patient in preparation for  Colorectal Surgery.
