Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Describe the roles of the members of the healthcare team in their respective responsibilities for quality care.
2. Describe the history of weight loss surgery, with an explanation of how we evolved to current procedures
3. Review the current weight loss procedures in common practice with outcomes and expectations discussed
4. Indentify the future of weight loss surgery and to understand how it might change current practice
5. Demonstrate awareness of the use of bariatric surgery as a treatment option for adolescents with morbid obesity
6. Describe the clinical outcomes of bariatic surgery in adolescents
7. Explain the criteria for participation in a bariatric surgery program and pre operative requirements in adolescents
