Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Describe the roles of the members of the healthcare team in their respective responsibilities for quality care.
2. Name at least five ways that surviving emotional and/or physical trauma may manifest later in life, such as hearing voices, extreme anger, racing heart, self-harm, etc.
3. List at least three questions that can be helpful in exploring the emotional impact a past trauma may have on someone they are currently supporting.
4. Identify three ways to avoid replicating the emotional trauma through silencing, shaming, removing choice, etc.
