Compassion Fatigue is a course offered by the Institute for Health and Recovery that addresses how to maintain empathy and compassion when our patients and our workload can be challenging.  We will learn about burnout and second-hand trauma, the impact that second-hand trauma has on our work, and how to build resilience as individuals and as a team when working with challenging patients and populations. We will identify self-care and community-care practices that we can implement to lift ourselves and each other up in this very difficult work.
