Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

1| Identify the relevant anatomy for localization of the parathyroid glands, including in the normal, ectopic and disease states.
2| Compare and contrast the available imaging modalities for preoperative localization of parathyroid lesions, and their advantages and disadvantages
3| 
Describe the imaging features of parathyroid lesions on 4D CT and ultrasound and problem-solving techniques for how to interpret these imaging studies in atypical and difficult cases.
