Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
- Summarize toolkit for engagement with youth and families impacted by complex trauma
- Interpret the understanding of complex trauma and how its impact can affect children, youth and families
- Incorporate new strategies to mitigate client dysregulation, a common challenge to providers maintaining fidelity with TF-CBT
- Define the knowledge of PRACTICE components utilized for complex trauma through case conceptualization (review of cases including multiple traumas/complex trauma)
- Identify creative strategies for completing trauma narration with clients
- Identify when to incorporate safety skills within the model
