Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

  1. Summarize toolkit for engagement with youth and families impacted by complex trauma
  2. Interpret the understanding of complex trauma and how its impact can affect children, youth and families
  3. Incorporate new strategies to mitigate client dysregulation, a common challenge to providers maintaining fidelity with TF-CBT
  4. Define the knowledge of PRACTICE components utilized for complex trauma through case conceptualization (review of cases including multiple traumas/complex trauma)
  5. Identify creative strategies for completing trauma narration with clients
  6. Identify when to incorporate safety skills within the model
