Objectives

1. Describe the roles of the members of the health care team in their respective responsibilities for quality care
2. Describe the steps to write a protocol, abstract, and journal article and to examine common pitfalls in conducting research.
3. Discuss the tenets of good study design, with a focus on designs that are most rigorous for quality improvement projects.
4. Recognize resources available at Baystate to assist with beginning and completing research projects.
