Series Overview

This educational activity will provide a morbidity and mortality review of a patient case involving the use of mechanical circulatory support. The session will examine the patient’s clinical course, key management decisions, contributing factors, and complications encountered throughout care. Through case-based discussion and multidisciplinary reflection, participants will identify opportunities to enhance clinical decision-making, improve patient safety, and optimize systems and processes related to the management of complex cardiovascular patients requiring advanced support therapies. The activity will promote evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and the application of lessons learned to future patient care.
