Objectives

1. Discuss best practice, policies, standards of care and resources for clinical practice in the care of mothers and newborns at the Birthplace and be given hands-on opportunities to apply knowledge to practice.

Speaker Credentials: Linda is the assistant nurse manager and nurse educator for the Birthplace with over 30 years of experience in in-patient obstetrical nursing
Faculty: Timothy Lepore, MD
Speaker Credentials: Dr. Lepore is the medical director of Pioneer Women’s Health, Baystate Medical Practices and a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Lepore has been planning and leading interdisciplinary Mock Codes at the Birthplace for the last 5 years.
Faculty: Suzanne Stoneham RNC, IBCLC
Speaker Credentials: Suzanne is a board certified lactation consultant and lead IBCLC for the Birthplace.
Faculty: Dr. Marcia VanVleet
Speaker Credentials: Marcia VanVleet is the Medical Director of Newborn Medicine Hospitalist Service at Baystate Franklin Medical Center and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics, UMass Medical School-Baystate.
