Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1|Identify triggers to anxiety and agitation and strategies to de-escalate agitated behaviors in the brain injured population.
2|Describe two validated tools to enhance assessment and understand root cause of agitation events.
3|Discuss the impact of substantive de-escalation training coupled with tangible process change on patient care and staff satisfaction in caring for this complex population.
