Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

  1. Describe the underlying pathophysiologic mechanisms of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), including genetic, structural, and hemodynamic contributors to disease expression.
  2. Discuss recent advances in precision medicine for HCM, including genetic testing, genotype-phenotype correlations, and targeted therapeutics such as myosin inhibitors.
  3. Recognize the importance of a multidisciplinary, specialized HCM program in optimizing diagnosis, risk stratification, family screening, and individualized management.
  4. Apply evidence-based strategies to integrate emerging therapies and precision diagnostics into clinical practice for patients with HCM.
  5. Evaluate how regional and institutional HCM programs can enhance care coordination, research, and community awareness in the era of personalized medicine.
