Objectives
- Discuss the causes of venous thromboembolism in Colorectal Surgical Patients.
- Describe preventative measures against development of Venous Thromboembolism in the Colorectal Patient.
- Define frailty in Colorectal Surgical Patients.
- Discuss how Frailty contributes to Colorectal Surgical Morbidity and Mortality.
- Discuss what measures can be used in the preoperative period to improve the functional status of the frail patient in preparation for Colorectal Surgery.
