Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Develop an approach to initial assessment of children in the pediatric emergency department.
2. Label key history and physical exam findings which serve as "red flags" in the presentation of common pediatric emergency department complaints such as: syncope, vomiting, and shortness of breath.
