Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Identify the characteristics of the syndrome and the challenges on its management
2. Recognize how development of an educational program on disease-related knowledge and skills can assist patients with chronic disease transition care from pediatric to adult providers
3. Understand how BMI fluctuates with age and relates to cardiopulmonary function in children with DMD
4. Describe the effect buccal dextrose gel has on the rate of NICU admissions for neonatal hypoglycemia and be able to implement the use of buccal dextrose gel in the newborn nursery for the treatment of neonatal hypoglycemia.
