Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Recognize complications of cirrhosis and the common patient presentation in an acute setting.

2. Review the current recommendations for prevention and maanagement of encephalopathy

3. Select an appropriate therapeutic option for patients experiencing acute complications of cirrhosis
