Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Describe the pathophysiology and etiology of pulmonary embolism
2. Evaluate current literature related to controversy arpound the treatment of submassive pulmonary embolism suing systemic thrombolysis
3. Determine the appropraiteness of thrombolytic therapy and its dosing when given a patient case.
