Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Discuss the current evidence regarding Clostridium difficile prophylaxis using oral
vancomycin

2. Identify which patients are potential candidates for C. difficile prophylaxis using oral
vancomycin

3. Construct an appropriate dosing regimen for prophylaxis based on current evidence

4. Select an appropriate duration of therapy for prophylaxis
