Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Describe the roles of the members of the health care team in their respective responsibilities for quality care.
2. Discuss usage of pharmacologic premedication in pediatric patients.
3. Review routes of delivery and their efficacy, tolerance, acceptance and safety.
4. Review sedation agents commonly utilized in pediatric patients.
5. Review pharmacology of dexmedetomidine.
6. Highlight current research on nebulized medications.
7. Identify scope for future investigation of nebulized premedication.
