The CATS Center is a national training center that provides trauma-focused evidence-based treatments (EBTs) for mental health clinicians serving Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) while simultaneously supporting multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) in adopting a trauma informed approach. Across efforts, training is designed to meet the National Children’s Alliance Standards for Accreditation. In order to promote sustainability and capacity-building mentorship, the CATS Center provides leadership tracks for State CAC Chapters and CAC senior leaders. Utilizing the vast resources and expertise of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN), The CATS Center will host an intensive learning community (ILC) for CAC multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) and their associated mental health clinicians in each of the four CAC regions over the next five years. The first ILC will be held in the Northeast Region.
