Members of the BMC Behavioral Resource Team will provide care strategies for psychiatric patients that are on medical surgical acute care units. Topics will include identifying environmental hazards for psychiatric patients, common scenarios and types of psychiatric patients encountered in medical-surgical areas, as well as discussion of specific interventions that can effectively increase rapport, communication, and the standard of care of these types of patients on medical surgical units.
