Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1|Recognize environmental hazards for psychiatric patients specifically found on the medical surgical units. 
2|Identify the most common psychiatric scenarios and types of behavioral health patients seen on medical surgical units. 
3|Discuss interventions that can increase rapport, communication, and care of the psychiatric patients on medical surgical units.
