Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

1|Describe the need for the development of guidelines to support the use of best practices when approaching patients at the end of life.
2|Apply and Recommend interventions to promote the palliation of symptoms associated with terminal illness.
3|Review the newly developed Baystate Adult Comfort Care Guidelines and discuss how these guidelines should be used in clinical settings.
4|Summarize next steps in education and implementation of the Adult Comfort Care Guidelines across Baystate Health Hospitals.
