Target Audience

This multidisciplinary conference is designed for all healthcare professionals involved with the care of injured children, including physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, prehospital personnel and social workers.

Learning Objectives

• Approach to diagnosing and treatment of refractory shock

• Identify patient who may benefit from mechanical support device in patient with refractory shock.

• Establish a one step process for development of management strategies.

• The role of non-culprit coronary artery intervention in patient with STEMI.

• Review current evaluation and management by EMS of patients in the field who have experienced out of hospital cardiac arrest.

• Evaluation and prognosis of patient with out of hospital cardiac arrest

• Describe current management of patients with stroke requiring endovascular therapies.

    Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 6.25 MOC points (and patient safety MOC credit) in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
