Goal:

The goal of this conference is to support ideal cardiovascular care for our patients and the health of our community with the collaboration of the entire healthcare team. The field of acute cardiology is rapidly changing with new and innovative treatment protocols for a wide range of conditions.

Target Audience

This course is designed for cardiologists, hospitalists, primary care physicians, physician assistants, pharmacists, emergency medicine physicians, EMTs, paramedics, nurse practitioners, nurses, and cardiovascular technologists.

Learning Objectives

      Block 1:

      1. Evaluate different clinical perspectives and evidence-based practice in the management of ACS patients.
      2. Discuss recent updates to research and evidence regarding the management of ACS patients.

      Block 2:

      1. Discuss the new research for management of complications post cardiac event patients as related to one’s scope of practice.
      2. Multidisciplinary approach to management across the continuum of care post cardiac event.

      Block 3:

      1. Review the evaluation, identification, and management of patients with cardiogenic shock from the perspective of one’s unique clinical role.
      2. Assess best practices of identifying cardiogenic shock treatment criteria.

      Block 4:

      1. Discuss prevalent topics across the broad spectrum of patient-specific populations.
      2. Create awareness of management and disease presentation for specific cardiovascular populations.
