Trauma Informed Precepting for Midwifery
This workshop supports Certified Nurse Midwives and midwifery preceptors in applying trauma-informed approaches to clinical teaching and supervision. Participants will examine how trauma and burnout affect student nurse midwives’ learning and performance, as well as preceptor well-being, and explore strategies to cultivate psychologically safe learning and work environments. Through practical discussion and skill development, learners will develop trauma-informed precepting strategies they can apply in practice to support learner success, reduce burnout, and promote sustainable careers in midwifery.
Target Audience
