11th Annual Perianesthesia Nursing Conference
Goal:
The goal of this educational activity is support safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, equitable and compassionate care.

Target Audience
This course is designed for nurses who care for patients undergoing procedures requiring sedation, analgesia and anesthesia.
Learning Objectives
- Explain the Golden Offset Surgical Team (GHOST) Mission Capabilities
- Explain the Advantages and Limitations of the GHOST Team.
- Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG’s) for Trauma Anesthesia.
- Identify patients at risk of experiencing perianesthesia complications related to vaping and marijuana use.
- Establish risk reduction strategies for this patient population
- Recognize intraoperative and postoperative respiratory symptoms caused by vaping and marijuana use
- Discuss appropriate treatment of vaping marijuana related respiratory complications.
- Explain what the different pelvic floor disorders are
- Review how we diagnose pelvic floor disorders
- Discuss the surgical management of pelvic floor disorders
- Discuss the benefits of self-care practices on personal well-being and communication.
- Explain how mindfulness-based interventions can improve person-centered care and caregiver well-being.
- Discuss how incorporating mindfulness practices could contribute to a healing work environment.
