The goal of this program is to support safe, effective, patient-focused care for the patient with pulmonary disease.

Application has been made for continuing education for respiratory therapists.
Target Audience
This course is designed for primary care providers, nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, nurses respiratory therapists and case managers whose practice involves the care and treatment of pulmonary disease.
Learning Objectives
1. What's new in COPD - New GOLD 2017.
2. Discuss management of COPD exacerbations.
3. Describe patient centered multidisciplinary care approach in COPD management.
4 . Discuss readmission reduction strategies.
5 . Discuss the basic pharmacologtic therapies in COPD.
6. Discuss the basic non-pharmacologic therapies in COPD.
7. Gain a deeper understanding of cystic fibrosis.
8. Discuss the treatments in cystic fibrosis and learn about new available therapies.
9. Review the evidence for HFNC therapy in infants with bronchiolitis to suggest guidelines
for its use.
10. Discuss HFNC use outside of bronchiolitis and limited evidence of how best to use
this therapy.
11. Identify 3 medication delivery devices.
12. Identify proper inhalation techniques for medication delivery devices.
13. Describe the indications and contraindications of various airway clearance modalities.
14. Discuss the airway clearance techniques and assistive devices.
