Goal:

Our goal is for multidisciplinary team members to be better equipped to provide a trauma-informed response to families. Child welfare workers have differing levels of exposure to and knowledge about trauma-informed care, particularly in regard to application of trauma-informed care to the work of the CAC MDT. Further, since MDT partners are trained in silos, the variations in language used regarding trauma-informed care can hinder efficient communication and collaboration.  This training exposes child welfare workers to the roles and responsibilities of the other MDT disciplines and begins to establish a common foundation and language, so that MDT partners will be better equipped to provide a trauma-informed response to families.

Target Audience

This course was designed for mental health counselors, psychologist, social workers and child welfare workers.
