The goal of this meeting will teach providers strategies to assess pregnancy intention and provide contraceptive counseling in an unbiased, non-coercive manner.

This course is designed for Individuals associated with the Midwifery Division.

Learning Objectives

 

  • Discuss factors and motivations that inform patient's contraceptive decision-making
  • Recognize the risk of coercion in contraceptive counseling
  • Explore a patient-centered shared decision-making approach to contraceptive counseling
  • Discuss steps to optimizing contraceptive care in your clinical setting
