Enduring/Self-study (Marion's Test)
Description
The trainings (Part I and II) for vicarious trauma and secondary traumatic stress will cover awareness, identification and self-assessment. Participants will be able to identify and explore their own compassion fatigue and compassion satisfaction. Additionally, those who attend the trainings (Part I and II) will be able to learn ways to address symptoms of VT and STS in a healthy and productive manner.
Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Describe the differences between primary and secondary trauma
2. Describe differences between vicarious trauma and secondary trauma stress
3. Discuss concepts of compassion fatigue and compassion satisfaction
