Target Audience
This course is designed for gastroenterologists, GI nurses, GI techs, and other allied health care providers.
Learning Objectives
- Describe when best to utilize ESD.
- Describe the care for patients having ESD.
- Differentiate NAFLD vs. NASH and their clinical implications.
- Discuss the risk of developing liver cirrhosis.
- Describe the management of NAFLD and NASH.
- Describe the essentials of endoscopy in IBD and writing the report.
- Review Endoscopic scores for IBD.
- Describe techniques and intervals for surveillance for cancer/dysplasia in IBD.
- Discuss and learn about important optical techniques to examine the mucosa.
- Review the efficacy and side effects of ablation techniques.
- Describe the benefits and limitations of mucosal resection for curing early stage esophageal cancer.
- Review the normal anatomy, variants and pathophysiology of the biliary tree.
- Discuss natural history and management of primary sclerosing cholangitis.
- Discuss endoscopic management of cholangiocarcinoma.
